Ethnographic Studies PhD Opportunities of Global Research Collaboration


PhD Opportunities Project is an interdisciplinary research related to the recently started a strategic project 'Technology Next Generation of Global Software Development' whose sole purpose is to understand the key challenges and opportunities for communication and coordination activities between the global spread of participants involved in close collaboration when developing a software system . The PhD Opportunities research project was conducted by interdisciplinary and international consortium which consists of academic partners from Copenhagen Business School, IT University of Denmark and the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, and three global IT companies as industrial partners.

PhD Student:

PhD Opportunities scholarship is part of a collaborative effort and PhD students will be attached to the Ministry of Communication and Management of Inter where the main supervisor Professor Anne-Marie Soderberg also located. secondary supervision can be provided by scholars working at the IT University.

Analysis:

PhD Opportunities project is expected to provide in-depth ethnographic analysis established collaborative practice between one or more globally dispersed research and development team, focusing on how teams and individual team members saw an opportunity and the difficulties associated with temporal and geographical distance and cultural diversity. How is this condition for communication and the impact of such collaboration for creativity, conflict, communication effectiveness, job satisfaction and social integration across borders?
